How To Make The Best Spicy Sweet Potato Fries

Before making these crispy sweet potato fries, decide whether you prefer to eat them with skin on or peeled. I made these spicy sweet potato fries with skin on after I washed it under it tap to remove some dirt from it.

Here are the steps to take to make the best sweet potato fries:

  • Clean up the potatoes: Remove any dirt you don’t want on the potato skin using a knife and then wash each potatoes gently under the tap. Set aside and wipe with kitchen towel to dry.
  • Cut up the potatoes: After cleaning the potatoes, place each of them on a chopping board and using a knife, cut them into your desired sizes for fries. I cut my potatoes into small chunky sizes because that’s the way I like them.
  • Spice up the potatoes: Now it’s time to turn it up a notch. Using the ingredients in the recipe card, pour your fries into a large bowl and season them with salt, pepper and olive oil. Then mix well.
  • Bake the potatoes fries: In a pre-heated gas oven or electric oven, place a foil on the oven rack and pour in the seasoned sweet potato fries. Bake on 175C or 345°F for 20-25mins. If you want really crispy sweet potato fries, bake for less time.
  • Set Aside: After baking your sweet potato fries, set it aside for a few minutes to cool off.
